Franzia came to us with a problem. Even if you're not a wine drinker, you probably know someone who drinks their wine in a box. After all, it is the best-selling wine in America. It turns out their customers were having a hard time getting the Zinfandels and Merlots out of the box and into their glasses though. Franzia knew we knew a thing or two about manufacturing lines and those corrugated wine boxes. We traced the problem to the way their equipment was aligning the wine bag in the box. So we designed, prototyped and installed enhancements to the line, and voilà!—the spout's where it's supposed to be and the wine's flowing. Along the way, we also helped Franzia consolidate three of their glass-bottling lines into one, scaleable line, thereby freeing up floor space for more bag-in-the-box production.
