At-The-Plate
Like many great business ideas, At-the-Plate was conceived on a napkin. It started with a 100-year-old family recipe—a secret dressing shared only with family and friends at the holidays. It evolved into a popular grocery store product that's generating profits for animal rescue and children's charities. But going from family fridge to store shelf proved to be more than this team bargained for. Partners Billy D. and Tony LaRussa (yes, that's baseball's LaRussa) had no experience in the food business. So, they came to us. We introduced them to the who’s who of the food industry, connected them with manufacturing and R&D experts, and gave them a crash course in supply chain issues and grocery store marketing. They're in the big leagues now, pitching good taste and goodwill out to crowds everywhere.
